Overnight Getaway in Niwot, Co

My hubby had a lunch meeting in Niwot, so we decided to spend the night. Niwot is west of Denver and north of Boulder. It's a small community, with a number of shops and restaurants. 

Niwot is named after Chief Niwot, a Southern Arapaho chief who negotiated peace between white settlers and Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes. 

Niwot Inn and Spa is located in the heart of downtown Niwot, and is Snuffles Approved! There is ample parking for guests. There are 14 well appointed and comfortable guestrooms and a 2 bedroom apartment. Breakfast is included, they have a 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate stations as well as an evening wine and charcuterie offering. January and February are their slow times, so if you want a quiet place to relax and enjoy a spa session along with comfy indoor sitting areas perfect for enjoying a book or catching up on work(they have great internet), this is the place to stay!

The Niwot Tavern is a cozy neighborhood restaurant and bar, opening at 11 for lunch. They have really good salads, we recommend the Iceberg Wedge and the Strawberry Spinach(add chicken). Both of them will fill your hungry tummy and taste great! Top it off with a Turtle Sundae. Snuffles would have liked warmer weather to enjoy the patio and people watch, but it was January!
